Luiza Lemos

A history graduate, cartoonist, screenwriter, and illustrator Luiza Lemos is the author of the graphic novel "Transistorizada," a printed edition of the strips she published weekly online about politics and LGBTQIAP+ issues, with a greater focus on the transgender segment. She has also produced strips for the newspaper Brasil de Fato, participated in the anthology "Rancho do Corvo Dourado," and in the anthologies "Sob a Luz do Arco-íris," "Quadrinhos Queer," and "Mulheres e Quadrinhos" (the latter as a cover artist). She won the 2021 Ângelo Agostini Award for the anthology "Não Ligue, Isso é Coisa de Mulher" and two HQ Mix Awards in 2022 for her participation in the anthologies "Boy Dodoi - Histórias Reais e Ilustradas de Masculinidade Tóxica" and "Pobrefobia: vivências das ruas com Padre Júlio Lancellotti." She currently works as a co-writer and illustrator on the psychedelic comic book series "Deby Dreamwalker" with her partner Marília Aguiar, and is the coordinator, writer, and organizer at the Erótika Occultum imprint of Editora Tábula.
