John Timms

John Timms is a Costa Rican artist with a distinguished career in comics and animation. Trained in graphic design (UCR) and animation (Goethe Institute), he co-founded Marte Studio, a pioneer in 2D/3D animation, creating award-winning shorts and commercials. A key figure in founding Veritas University’s animation school, he taught for a decade. For the past 10 years, he’s worked exclusively with DC Comics, contributing to iconic titles like Superman, Harley Quinn, and Batman, and recently working with Jason Aaron in Superman Superstars. He was nominated for the Glaad Awards, and now he’s collaborating with Jeremy Adams on the ongoing series Aquaman.
