Paolo Mottura

Italian artist Paolo Mottura is one of the most acclaimed Disney comic artists of his generation. Since 1989, he has illustrated stories for Topolino, Paperinik, Paperinik New Adventures, and other major Disney titles, helping define the modern visual identity of Disney comics in Italy.

His notable works include The Economics of Uncle Scrooge, DoubleDuck, Disney adaptations of Moby Dick and Metropolis, and, with Fabio Celoni, the graphic novel adaptations of Epic Mickey and Tron: Legacy. Mottura has also worked with leading French publishers, including Les Humanoïdes Associés, Soleil, and Dupuis, and contributed to Sergio Bonelli Editore’s Dylan Dog and Le Storie. Renowned for his distinctive style and storytelling, he remains one of the most respected artists in European comics.
