Marcello QuintanilhaComic book creator
Marcello Quintanilha was born in Niterói, state of Rio de Janeiro, in 1971. He began his career in 1988 as a horror and martial arts comics artist. In the following decade, Marcello delved into the universe of animation, having worked as a press illustrator and published his first graphic novel, "Fealdade de Fabiano Gorila". Between 2002 and 2012, he worked on the "Sept Balles pour Oxford" series alongside writers Jorge Zentner and Montecarlo. Since then, he has published more of his own work, including "Sábado dos Meus Amores" (2009), "Almas Públicas" (2011), 'Tungstênio" (2014); "Fauve Polar" from the Angoulême festival (adapted as a film by Heitor Dhalia), "Talco de Vidro" (2015), and "Luzes de Niterói" (2018). In 2020, he released his first novel, "Deserama". "Escuta, formosa Márcia" (published in 2021; Fauve D'Or from the Angoulême festival) is his most recent work.
